Job Title: STEM Program Specialist
Location: Portland OR. Dallas TX (This position is open to fully remote, prefer in the Portland or Dallas areas.)
Onsite Requirements:
- Education program management experience with proven success in adapting the program to remote education.
- Strong technical acumen, ability to translate technical designs into user-friendly functions.
- Familiarity with remote access technology, specifically TeamViewer.
- Experience with backend content management systems such as WordPress and background in web development and connectivity.
Summary:
- The Technical Program Specialist for the Inspire STEM Education Program plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and execution of STEM education initiatives aimed at inspiring and engaging students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
- Leveraging cutting-edge technology such as the TM4000 Series scanning electron microscope (SEM).
- This position will oversee the build out of technical needs throughout the program that would include, but not be limited to learning labs, program regions and collaborations with external institutions such as museums, universities, and other organizations.
- This role will develop what technologies will be used for remote access, i.e. TeamViewer Tenser licenses, trainings as needed for connecting and using the SEM, address technical issues as they arise, and assist in the development of new projects focused on creating innovative nanotechnology teaching tools and implementing best practices with SEMs.
- This will include technologies and software for website online updates and remote connect access for the single dual authenticated process.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical programs and projects with the technical planning and execution of product launches, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies, including product messaging, positioning, and marketing campaigns.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Technical Documentation:
- Technical inventory and tracking with all regions, labs, and remote access via on site and remote access.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor program technical performance, analyzing data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of program initiatives and services.
- Technical Program Development: Lead the development and implementation of STEM education initiatives, leveraging technology such as the TM4000 Series SEM to create engaging learning experiences and hands-on activities that inspire students to explore the world of nanotechnology.
- Roadmap Planning:Define, develop, and maintain the technical roadmap, prioritizing features, enhancements, and infrastructure projects based on customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.
- Technical Professional Development:Provide training and support to educators on the use of technology tools such as the TM4000 Series SEM, empowering them to incorporate hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences into their classrooms and educational programs.
- Evaluation and Impact Assessment:Monitor and evaluate the technical effectiveness of STEM education initiatives, collecting feedback and data to assess program impact and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Continuous Improvement:Stay aware of emerging trends, research, and best practices in STEM education and nanotechnology, incorporating new insights and innovations to enhance program effectiveness and relevance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with engineering, product management, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure seamless coordination and integration of technical initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary degree: Bachelors or Associate with equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in program management, preferably in the field of STEM education or outreach.
- Understanding of nanotechnology concepts and applications.
- Experience working with SEMs or similar technology preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to think strategically, drive innovation, and execute initiatives to achieve measurable results.
- Experience in partnership development, project management, and evaluation of educational programs.
- Passion for education, technology, and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
Salary
40 - 44 /hour
