We are seeking candidates for a Histotechnologist Product Specialist (LSPS). This position is responsible for Life Science sales and marketing, product R&D and support activities. This position works closely with others on the Life Science team along with the Vice President of Marketing & Sales to achieve their goals. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of full-time practical laboratory experience in Electron Microscopy and Histology.

- Develop and grow the sales of our Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Life Science related products, our Histology instruments and supplies, our Microscope products, as well as products for other types of imaging in Life Sciences.
- Learn our line of products to assist with product and applications development, sales, and support.
- Keep current with related cutting-edge technologies as well as use of existing technologies and share updates with relevant internal staff.
- Be engaged in Life Science product development for items we design and manufacture and those we resell.
- Collaborate with our Graphics department for Life Science new product marketing materials, product and applications videos, social media messaging, web placement, trade show signage, and other related marketing collateral.
- Generate manuals, updates, and technical notes for instruments to support Life Science customers and our website.
- Manage product quotation activities related to Life Science products with customer follow up to generate sales.
- Assist in the development of sales forecasts for the relevant product groups.
- Assist customers and the dealers of Ted Pella, Inc. products with Life Science technical questions.
- Assist in the preparation and management of Life Science-related trade show preparations and represent the company at those trade shows.
- Collaborate with team members on product applications and product development.
- Minimum of Bachelors' Degree in Biological Sciences or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Full Time Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Histology practical laboratory experience, including instrument use and knowledge of TEM, and Histological specimen preparation techniques.
- General knowledge of the following for both research and clinical laboratories including:
- Lab Instrumentation
- Laboratory Consumables
- Tissue Processing and general sample preparation for both electron microscopy and light microscopy
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Animal research
- Knowledgeable in the use of ultramicrotomes, rotary microtomes, cryostats and vibratory slicers.
- Knowledgeable in the following areas of the Life Sciences:
- Pathology
- Neuroscience
- Immunology
- Cryo Electron Microscopy experience.
- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) lab experience.
- HTL Certification through ASCP and Certification in Biological TEM through MSA is highly desirable
- Experience with public speaking and leading meetings.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate on a team.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with co-workers and build relationships with clients.
- Superior attention to details and problem diagnosis and solving skills.
- Ability to communicate in the English language fluently for writing and speaking.
- Proficient in current versions of Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other standard office technology.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to trade shows, clients, and workshops.
- This position is a full time "in-person/in-office position located in Redding, CA.
- Must be authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship.
