**Your Opportunity**
Stantec is seeking a motivated and dynamic Historic Architect to support our Cultural Resources Team and clients. The qualified candidate will work in close coordination with our professional team and with Senior Project Management on a range of architectural history projects.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Conduct work on projects including detailed investigations of historic properties including historical restoration, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and compatible new design in historic contexts
+ Investigate and recommend historical rehabilitation tax credits
+ Perform condition assessments and Historic Structure Reports
+ When required, perform architectural history tasks such as contributing to Section 106 evaluations, National Register nominations, historic contexts, and other duties as assigned
+ Responsible for managing complex tasks on small to medium size projects.
+ Participate in the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.
+ Assist in the development of project budgets, schedules, and overall work plans.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Extensive experience working with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
+ Extensive experience with historic architecture-based project management
+ Extensive experience creating a set of construction documents, and knowledge of contemporary and historic materials, details, and construction methods
+ Proficiency with Revit and AutoCad
+ Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
**Education and Experience**
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required
Master's degree in Architecture, Historic Preservation, Public History, or closely related field preferred
At least ten years of experience as an architect with historic preservation expertise
Professional License in their state of residence with the capability to be licensed in other states, as needed
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
**Salary Range(s):**
* $98,200 - $142,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA and DC
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
+ Washington state employees are eligible to accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked except for Seattle employees who accrue sick leave in accordance with the city's paid sick leave law.
