Our client, a healthcare solutions provider, is seeking a Mailroom Shift Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a supervisory/managerial role within a mailroom, logistics, or similar environment, excellent organizational with great attention to detail, and strong verbal and communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $24+++/hr

What’s the Job?
- Team Management & Training: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of Mail Processors, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies. Develop and implement training programs for new and existing mailroom staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Mail Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all inbound mail, with a particular focus on medical charts and sensitive documents.
- Workflow Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve mailroom operations to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and maintain high standards of service.
- Quality Control: Ensure all mail handling processes meet established standards for accuracy and confidentiality, particularly concerning medical documentation.
- Reporting & Problem Resolution: Maintain and monitor daily logs and reports on mail processing activities, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements. Address and resolve any issues related to mail processing, including delays, errors, or other operational challenges.
What’s Needed?
- Experience / Education: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mailroom operations or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in management or logistics is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills: Exceptional accuracy in handling and processing documents, with a strong focus on detail. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and other departments.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with mailroom equipment and technology, including the use of document management systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly with medical document handling. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices in handling sensitive health information.
