Job Details
This is a full-time position. The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for the retention, retrieval and maintenance of patient health information in all formats; analyze health information of discharged patients for deficiencies; preps, scans and archive all paper health information in a document imaging system; maintain logs verifying discharged patient charts; works with medical staff to aid in chart completion, to include retrieving health information for physician completion; maintains the integrity of the digital archival system and terminal digit filing system; scans, files, pulls, and retrieves both hard copy, microfilmed, and electronically imaged medical records for admissions and quality reviews; logs release of information request; and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Associates degree in Health Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Epic Release of Information, Coding, Deficiency Tracking and Identity certification or proficiency, required
Previous Health Information/Medical Office experience preferred.
Experience with an electronic and/or hybrid health information system preferred.
Extensive knowledge of state and federal release of information/confidentiality guidelines.
Knowledge of RAC, MAC, MIC, CERT and all other payer, state and federal requirements for complying with requests for information.
Ability to maintain high-level productivity and above average quality work in a demanding environment while displaying professional composure and confidence.
Must have experience with HIM Applications
Licenses & certifications:
Epic Release of Information, Coding, Deficiency Tracking and Identity certification or proficiency, required
