Highway Maintenance Worker II: Medium Equipment Operator (61034945) **RE-ADVERTISEMENT** - State of South Carolina

Operates medium equipment on the Hot Crew, such as, but not limited to, aggregate spreader, belt loader, and combination tractor with side mounted mower, large roller, skid steer loader, tandem dump truck and tractor with large mower. Performs duties using manual labor, in such maintenance tasks as clearing of right-of-way cleaning drainage/ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs, paving driveways, laying side line/cross line pipe, grading and setting forms, laying bricks/blocks, repairing and building, pouring/finishing concrete/cement for curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveway, catch basins, etc. Performs traffic controls operations for work zones, to include flagging traffic for the safety of the crew and the public, during various phases of roadway maintenance. Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations and being on call for after hour emergencies. Performs other related duties as assigned.
