Responsibilities include:
- Command the kitchen: Oversee all daily operations, ensuring seamless workflow from prep to plating.
- Nurture your team: Train, motivate, and empower cooks, dishwashers, and other staff to excel.
- Guarantee quality: Cultivate a culture of culinary excellence, upholding strict food safety and sanitation standards.
- Master the menu: Ensure dishes are crafted flawlessly, adhering to recipes and exceeding guest expectations.
- Inventory with vision: Manage stock levels, optimize ordering, and minimize waste with a keen eye for efficiency.
- Lead by example: Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen environment where teamwork reigns supreme.
- Communicate effectively: Bridle both front and back of house interactions, ensuring smooth service and a unified guest experience
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Lead Cook in a high-volume restaurant of at least 2 years.
- A culinary background, both a degree and experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
- Passion for culinary excellence and dedication to quality ingredients.
- Effective leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing demands.

Working Conditions:
- Kitchen managers work long hours, more than 50 hours a week. They may work about 12-15 hours a day, every day.
