The High Voltage (EV) Automotive Technician is responsible for inspection, repair and diagnostic services on EV vehicles. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement of high voltage vehicles. You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
May be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
This is a physically demanding position.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds.
Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
Experience/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Automotive technical training and certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
Valid Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, particularly in electric vehicle (ASE-EV) is required.
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles, with a strong understanding of EV systems and components.
Familiarity with various EV makes and models and the ability to adapt to new EV technologies.
Manufacture or 3 rd party certification from accredited source, verifying knowledge of handling EV power components and power down procedures.
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols associated with working on electric vehicles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues to customers.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team

- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work, including diagnostic results, parts used, and labor hours. This documentation is essential for quality control and customer communication.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and informative manner, explaining the nature of issues, repair recommendations, and estimated costs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is performed to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines to maintain the safety and reliability of electric vehicles.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and team members to solve complex issues and share knowledge related to electric vehicles
