Overview of Position:Our High School Senior Operations Coordinator is an essential member of our high school team. Under the direction of our Assistant Principal of Operations and Safety, the Senior Operations Coordinator ensures that Unity stakeholders, including staff, faculty, and families, are well supported and have what they need to succeed in their day. They coordinate the school's daily operations and demonstrate high levels of professionalism and urgency with all parties, excellent organization skills, consistency and reliability, and grace under pressure. In doing so, they ensure operational excellence every day, which is critical to Unity in delivering on its mission: empowering students as scholars and citizens so they may lead fulfilling academic, personal, and professional lives. The High School Operations Coordinator's work ultimately helps equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to experience secondary and postsecondary success, including the desire and capacity to learn independently, think critically, and communicate proficiently.

Core Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of Unity's operations coordinators include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serves as first point of contact and reception for greeting guests and parents by phone and in person
- Manages and updates all school calendars
- Manages student daily attendance protocols, procedures and information systems
- Manages student transportation and OMNY card program via ATS and OPT
- Requests new students and updates enrollment information in ATS
- Assists with student recruitment and student registration
- Ensures that main office is organized, impeccably clean, well-stocked with materials, and welcoming
- Reviews supplies/inventory and places purchase request orders to replenish stock.
- Coordinates with external vendors at the direction of the Assistant Principal of Operations & Safety (OPT, OSFNS, Access 411, Visiplex, DOH, DOB, FDNY, iWise, etc)
- Supports school leadership with clerical tasks
- Supports school in safety practices and protocols at the direction of of the Assistant Principal of Operations & Safety
- Reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Operations and Safety
Core Qualifications:An ideal candidate for this position is equipped with:
- At least 2 years of experience in school operations or a comparable setting
- A strong work ethic that features preparation, organization, multi-tasking, flexibility, an orientation toward solutions, and a pride in meeting deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members; experience working collaboratively in team settings
- Demonstrates high levels of professionalism and urgency with all parties, excellent organization skills, consistency and reliability, and grace under pressure
- An openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
- A balance of high expectations and high support, a growth mindset, and an innate joy in serving families and adolescents
- Bachelor's degree
- Approaches the profession with maturity, humility, versatility, of course, a sense of humor
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
