Position Status: Permanent, Full-Time
Manage the Health and Safety programs by designing and implementing robust solutions to mitigate defined Health and Safety risks across the lifecycle of the PV Power Plants and BESS Plants, especially during construction. Health and Safety programs include among others supervision, auditing, inspections, and management review.
Ensure the Health and Safety programs are up to date and in compliance with QCELLS USA standards, and Local, State and Federal Regulations.
Develop and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans.
Verify in-field activities at various PV Power and BESS Plant locations.
Prepare Safety Site visit reports.
Develop work instructions to ensure that Health and Safety control processes are in place for each key activity performed on site.
Monitor the status of Incident Reports, ensure root cause analyses are carried out and corrective actions are defined and implemented in a timely manner
Prepare weekly and monthly Safety reports as required by management and contractual requirements with customers.
Responsible for relevant safety communications regarding best practices, lessons learned, updates to the field, recent events, regional newsletters, update on safety incidents and end of project value added summaries.
Manage all Health and Safety processes with our general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades and commissioning agents.
Communicate with stakeholders to plan Health and Safety requirements and develop Safety Audit plans.
Identify Health and Safety Training needs and design and deliver Health and Safety Training for our employees and stakeholders.
Create a Safety culture of continuous improvement that enhances the company and project safety.
Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams.
Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management.
Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
3 years of experience designing and implementing programs to manage Health and Safety operational risks,
3 years of experience preparing Site Specific Safety Plans, EHS Inspections, Work instructions and/or Methods of Statements.
3 years of experience identifying Health and Safety Training Needs, designing Training Programs and delivering Health and Safety Training.
Experience in Safety Auditing and in-field safety management.
Knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Construction. Engineering, or related field OR, diploma and equivalent experience.
CSP/ASP/CHST preferred
FA/CPR/AED preferred
OSHA 30/510 required
OSHA 500 preferred
Experience with ISO 9001, ISO14001 or ISO 45001 preferred.
Experience working as both a subcontractor and a self-performing Contractor preferred.
Health and Safety, energy and construction experience preferred.
Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of PV Solar Plants structural, electrical, mechanical and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) equipment preferred.
Experience with Smartsheets, E-Builder, Procore OR related Project Management software preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds
Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office upper and lower floors
Travel: up to 50% as needed

This job position is specific to Qcells USA Corp. only and not any other Hanwha affiliates. The above-listed salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Irvine, CA. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. If candidates are considered for a nationwide role, then the compensation range will follow the marketability of the job function within those states. An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
