Hetnet Field Technician
Experience/Skillsets:
- The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of heterogeneous networks and good people skills.
- Understanding of basic IP Networking preferred.
- Small cell experience with any OEM: Nokia, Ericsson, Corning or Commscope desired but not required.
- Basic knowledge of WIFI equipment and vendors including Cisco and Aruba.
Job Responsibilities:
The Hetnet Field Technician will be responsible to support the OEM Radio Equipment and Hetnet/Small Cell deployment for national and regional projects.
• Work with Hetnet to support vendors and regional operation teams to complete Hetnet integration and commissioning projects.
• Support and learn to perform on site call testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and optimization, as required.
• Understand and support the Hetnet technology advancement and Small Cell OEM development for current and future technologies, including 4G LTE, 5G NR, CBRS, C-Band, PWN, WIFI, etc.
• Assist with development of standardized documentation and processes to address integration, call testing, and baseline data collection.
• Assist and support internal resources (regional and national SPEs) to meet the increasing demands and growth of the Hetnet/Small Cell integration and optimization projects.
• Participate or support reviews and customer meetings to present Hetnet solutions and troubleshooting when necessary.
Skill-sets:
Familiar with Wireless Data Collection Tools, Software and Hardware
Familiar with Hetnet OEM Platforms
Familiar with IP Networking/Routing and functionality
Education: Bachelor of Science degree preferred
This is a remote position but frequent travel throughout the US will be expected
Pay sace is $30-40 per hour based on experience
