Technical Architect
We seek an exceptional candidate for our Pre-Sales Technical Architecture team with strong programming skills and pre-sales or customer-facing experience. This role involves collaborating with technical and business teams, architects, C-Level executives, and key decision-makers. It requires agility and quick operation to support companies in rapid growth. The position is highly technical and customer-focused, striving to ensure customer success. Ideal candidates can explain enterprise architectures to both laypersons and CIOs. The Lead/Principal Technical Architect will be a domain authority on Salesforce SaaS and PaaS products, with expertise in software development, solutions architecture, Salesforce products, Salesforce Lightning, Heroku, cloud computing, security, and identity.
The role of a Technical Architect includes working together with sales teams and customers to understand their enterprise architecture and technical requirements, developing a vision for their future on the Salesforce platform, educating them on technical aspects and integrations, and demonstrating how Salesforce products can benefit their business. Additionally, the role includes scaling through education efforts, leading technical workshops and sessions, and achieving quarterly and annual objectives like deal contributions, field enablement, and closed revenue.
Your Impact:
Engage in daily technical challenges and lead strategic sales engagements to build winning, differentiated solutions and value. Continuously learn and effectively discuss sophisticated technical problems with customers. Be part of a motivated sales team dedicated to customer success, working comfortably with clients at all levels, from front-line staff to CIOs and CTOs, and from startups to enterprises. Contribute to the team's knowledge base and work with internal sales teams to develop and implement account development plans.
Articulate the benefits of our cloud-based architecture and the Salesforce Customer360 Platform, conducting technical workshops and education sessions. Present Salesforce technology and its application across various business domains, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement programs and initiatives. Participate in training to maintain and grow knowledge, support customized demos, and achieve sales and operational objectives. Form relationships with key partners and articulate the value proposition of Salesforce Employee Service Delivery, showcasing how it improves employee experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A relevant technical degree required.
- Evidence of strong impact in customer-facing work is near-mandatory, but can come from a variety of places. Experience working as an architect, solution engineer or consultant in a customer-facing role where discernment and technical differentiation are key to success in the role.
- Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer or equivalent, preferably in the CRM space is a plus.
- Experience with cloud, SaaS, PaaS, aPaaS, and IaaS concepts and technologies.
- Ability to work as part of a team to tackle technical problems in varied political environments.
- Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
