Hematology Physician - Jackson and Coker

Hematology/Oncology Physician Locums Job in Red Bluff, California January Start and Ongoing for a Year Assignment

Dates of Coverage:
ASAP start for 6 months
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00AM-5:30PM with night call then 24 hour remote call coverage Friday-Sunday

Job Requirements:
Board Certification Oncology AND Hematology preferred. Will consider Board Eligible.
California state license
Medical Oncology Fellowship - required
Other Certifications California DEA, BLS, ACLS - required during credentialing
Malpractice clean file preferred
Availability at time of name clear required

Job Details:
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs.
Average daily census: 15-21 patients Monday-Thursday with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule.
10 patients per day, 1-2 being new
Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
7 infusion chairs
Average callback hours: none - provider is not called back in. Remotely called.
