Hematology/Oncology Physician - VeloSource

VeloSource has a Hematology-Oncology Opportunity in Red Bluff, CA.

• Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center
• Summary: Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider. No hospital consults required with low volume remote call. MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions. No oncology inpatient services at local hospital.
• 24hr call/WEEKEND CALL which would be by phone only Fri-Sun (can be taken from anywhere)
• Average callback hours: None - provider is not called back in. Remotely called.
• Schedule: M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call, then 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun
• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
• Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs.
• Average daily census: 15-21 patients Mon-Thurs with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule.
• 10 patients per day, 1-2 being new
• Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
• 7 infusion chairs
• Board Certification - Oncology AND Hematology preferred. Will consider Board Eligible. CAN accept providers boarded in Oncology OR Hematology.
• CA State License - REQUIRED
• Medical Oncology Fellowship -REQUIRED
• CA DEA, BLS, ACLS - REQUIRED during credentialing
• Travel & Lodging Covered
