About the Job
St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Hematologist Oncologist to serve as Medical Director for our outstanding and well-established Cancer Care program at St. Peter's and Samaritan Hospitals located in Albany and Troy, New York.
- 100% hospital-employed
- The Medical Director will lead a team of five physicians and four advanced practitioners. The practice enjoys access to a tumor boards program, grand rounds, and treats a wide range of cancers including ample access to high quality surgical services; from breast to thoracic to hepatobiliary/pancreatic care.
- There is strong APP support in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Our multi-site practice has two beautiful locations, both located on hospital campuses. The cancer program at St. Peters Health Partners includes not only Hematology Oncology but also Radiation Oncology, a full suite of surgical services, full Radiologic services, and complimentary services as well.
- Outpatient clinics located on hospital campus
- Schedule: Clinic Mon-Fri, 40 hour work week, days
- Call Rotation: 1:5
- Patient Demographics: Adult only
- 50/50 Hem/Onc -- must be interested in providing both Oncological and Hematological care
- Numbers of physicians in practice: 4
- 5 FT Rad Onc physicians on-site
- 5 APPs on site
- Average number of patients per day(outpatient): 20-30
- Average number of patients per day(inpatient): 15-20
- 440 bed community hospital
- EMR: Epic
- Required procedures listed in attached practice description
- Open to H-1B visa candidates, but cannot accept J-1 waivers
- Competitive Compensation rate.

- Relocation Allowance if applicable: The amount is determined by the distance they are moving from to the facility. It is a reimbursement-based system. Providers receive the amount in their contract, and they can submit receipts for reimbursement up to that amount.
