GPAC is partnering with a unique medical nonprofit healthcare center in the Las Vegas area that is looking for highly specialized candidates with excellent diagnostic skills for the specific position of a board-certified Adult Hematologist, with a special interest in benign blood disorders specifically hemophilia and sickle cell disease utilizing the comprehensive care model.
*Requirements:
Must have a medical degree with completion of an internal medicine residency and completion of a 2-year hematology fellowship and must be board certified in hematology

We are looking for highly specialized candidates with excellent diagnostic skills for the position of Adult Hematologist with a special interest in benign blood disorders specifically hemophilia, thrombosis, and sickle cell disease utilizing the comprehensive care model. Hematologists are responsible for conducting physical examinations and analyzing a patient's medical history, studying blood samples and identifying white or red blood cell abnormalities, analyzing patient historical data, and using data to make informed decisions, performing inpatient rounding on hematology consulting services, among other duties. Hematologists will need to communicate with patients and keep them informed at all times, requiring good interpersonal and communicative ability.
Hematologist Responsibilities:
- Testing and diagnosing patients.
- Conducting physical examinations and analyzing a patient's medical history.
- Studying lab tests, CAT scans, and MRIs for a more accurate diagnosis.
- Analyzing blood samples and identifying white or red blood cell abnormalities.
- Treating diseases such as anemia, hemophilia, or thrombotic disorders.
- Treating blood-clotting disorders.
- Treating Sickle Cell Disease.
- Prescribing medications or dietary advice.
- Maintaining detailed records of patients' health.
- Analyzing patient historical data and using data to make informed decisions.
- Using physicians' notes and recommendations when patients are referred to them.
- Inpatient consulting service/rounding service
- Evening and weekend calls on a rotation basis.
- Consulting with other medical professionals in difficult cases.
Hematologist Requirements:
- Medical degree.
- Completion of an internal medicine residency.
- Completion of a two-year hematology fellowship.
- J1-Visa will be reviewed and may be accepted
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving ability.
- Diligence and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
