Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Handle Tier 1/2/3 help desk escalations through tickets or phone
- Good analytical, trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
- Essential Requirements
- Strong and demonstrated enterprise experience in desktop troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, migration planning, design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of networked computer resources (including PCs, Macs, printers and servers)
- Proficient in supporting Mac applications including but not limited to; Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Apple Mail, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong demonstrated experience with Active Directory and laptop/desktop/printer hardware architecture.
- Strong demonstrated experience in end-user device technologies, asset management systems, security tools, desktop deployment and annual refresh strategies, and utilities related to desktop service.
- Ability to successfully lead projects related to the provisioning of desktop and other general office and media solutions.
- Analyze the issue, identification of problem, troubleshoot and resolve cases within the set target
- Provide technical solution on resolving the cases within service monitoring.
- Provide support services for daily Operations in terms of technical as well process wise
- Come out with innovative ideas which can really help to reduce human error or work effort in day to day operations
- Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
- Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process
- Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms
- Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
- Support Windows 7, Windows 8 and Microsoft Office.
- PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
- Build image; assemble and replace hardware components on PC and Macs
- Desktop, laptop computer application installation and configuration
- Client PC connectivity - Ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN
- Knowledge on managing shares on file servers and user permission. Also good knowledge on managing MacAfee Anti-virus
- To provide technical assistance in the development and testing of software and services and to assist in the planning, implementation and on-going support of any windows based corporate system.
- To advise on operational risks ensuring that they are clearly identified and that appropriate actions are taken. In particular to consider issues relating to security, data backup, disaster recovery and virus control.
- To monitor services and to provide regular reports to the onsite/offshore Project Manager as agreed.
- To undertake project work assigned by the IT Project Manager providing regular reports as agreed, ensuring that the work is done to agreed standards and that any problems are communicated in a timely manner.
- To maintain an awareness of developments in the industry and participate in the sharing of knowledge and ideas across the department.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
