Job Title: IT Support Specialist & EDI Coordinator

Position Overview:

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? Join The Custom Companies, Inc. as an IT Support Specialist & EDI Coordinator! You'll be the go-to expert for all things tech—providing first-line support to employees and customers, managing hardware and mobile devices, and ensuring seamless electronic data interchange (EDI) with our partners. Don't worry if you're new to EDI; we’ll provide the training you need to succeed!

What You'll Do:

Help Desk Guru

• Be the friendly face (and voice) of IT support—offering quick solutions via phone, email, and chat.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Configure and maintain personal devices like workstations, mobile phones, laptops, and desk phones.

Hardware Hero

• Manage IT hardware inventory—repurposing, decommissioning, and even selling surplus equipment on eBay.
• Run data cabling for devices like computers, cameras, TVs, and speakers.

Mobile Maven

• Keep our fleet of iOS and Android devices running at peak performance.

Tech Innovator

• Collaborate with teams to identify and implement new technologies that improve efficiency.
• Develop user training programs and create instructional materials to empower employees.

EDI Coordinator Extraordinaire

• Coordinate and manage EDI connections and integrations with our Transportation Management Software (TMS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve mapping, connection, or integration errors.
• Serve as a liaison between internal teams, partners, and vendors for EDI-related projects.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 2+ years in a help desk or IT support role (preferred).
• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with Windows OS, troubleshooting hardware/software, and managing mobile devices.
• Hands-On Problem Solver: You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and diving into tech challenges.
• Location: Ability to commute to our Northlake, IL headquarters.
