Hedge Fund Operations/Accounting Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily trade and cash reconciliations between internal systems and prime brokers, custodians, and banks.
• Ensure timely and accurate trade settlements, coordinating with counterparties and service providers as needed.
• Maintain and update the firm's shadow accounting system daily, ensuring alignment with the fund administrator; collaborate with the Accounting Manager on entries.
• Review monthly accounting reports and investor statements prepared by the fund administrator, ensuring accuracy and consistency before distribution.
• Provide operational and accounting support to portfolio managers, investor relations, and compliance teams as needed.
• Assist in implementing new technologies or tools to enhance operational and accounting workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, hedge fund operations, accounting, or fund administration.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments (particularly credit instruments) and fund structures.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting systems or financial software is a plus.
• CPA designation preferred.
