Hammer & Steel seeks to hire a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic to join our team in St. Louis, MOShift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities- Running diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems on heavy construction equipment.
- Completes all required preventative maintenance operations including lubrications, fluid changes, and minor diesel engine maintenance.
- Completes accurate written records of work performed.
- Provide education to customers on equipment operation and performance.
- Travel within assigned region, as needed, to customer job sites to provide equipment training, maintenance, and repairs.
- Mentor and train apprentice technicians/mechanics.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older; Valid driver's license with clean MVR
- One (1) or more years of relevant heavy equipment maintenance experience or two (2) years of technical training.
- Familiar and / or experience with heavy machinery, hydraulics, electrical system repair and maintenance.
- Must be able to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and digital voltmeters (DVMs) and working kinematics.
- CANbus and PLC knowledge.
- Must provide own tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
- Vocational/Technical degree; Mechanical or Electrical degree
- Five (5+) years of construction heavy equipment experience
- Welding experience
