What’s the Job?
Compensation: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Mechanical Functions
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on heavy equipment (e.g., hydraulic, fuel systems).
+ Replace filters, belts, and other routine wear components as needed.
+ Perform welding, fabrication, or minor repairs to equipment or structures is a plus.
+ Collaborate with mechanics to address complex equipment maintenance and repair needs.
+ Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Operational
+ Ensure equipment is operated in compliance with company policies and MSHA regulations.
+ Monitor equipment performance and report potential malfunctions or inefficiencies to management.
+ Assist in optimizing equipment usage to maximize productivity.
Safety and Compliance
+ Participate in and promote a safety-first culture, including adherence to PPE and safety protocols.
+ Assist in emergency response drills and equipment shutdowns when necessary.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental and operational regulations in all activities.
Team Collaboration
+ Train or mentor new operators on safe equipment usage and maintenance practices.
+ Provide feedback to supervisors on process improvements or operational challenges.
+ Actively participate in team meetings, toolboxes, and safety briefings.
What do you bring?
+ High School/GED diploma, preferred.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as an operator
+ Knowledge of plant manufacturing in an industrial maintenance experience in 24 hr continuous process environment.
+ Strong customer service focus, teaming and collaborative approach
+ Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication
+ Heavy equipment experience (5) - Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operation and/or mining and rock handling operations
+ Equipment Maintenance- Min of 3 years of experience performing basic maintenance and mechanic works on HDE
