Join S J Louis Construction as a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Shop Manager in our Rockville, MN location. The role allows for you to use your expertise to lead a high-performance team dedicated to problem solving and innovation for the repair and maintenance of our extensive equipment department. With a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 annually, you'll be rewarded for your commitment to excellence in the face paced construction industry. All company required travel is paid and includes a daily per diem.

A Day in the Life of a Heavy Equipment Shop Manager

Your day-to day responsibilities will revolve around overseeing shop operations and ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment. You can expect to coordinate daily tasks for your team, manage inventory levels, maintain equipment repairs and related expenses.

Communication with various departments will be essential for problem solving and ensuring deadlines are met. You'll also on-site equipment inspections to implement best practices and uphold our commitment to safety. This role will require up to 50% travel.

Are You a Good Fit for This Role?

To thrive as a Heavy Equipment, shop Manager at S J Louis, several qualifications are essential. You'll bring 10+ years' experience in heavy equipment repairs and possess a strong mechanical background enabling you to diagnose and resolve complex issues effectively. A deep understanding of the construction and the associated equipment is crucial. The ability to adapt quickly, problem solve, while working in a fast-paced environment is a must!

Effective communication, the desire for continuous learning, and the ability to lead and mentor your team will be critical to your success!

Experience and expertise in the repair and diagnosis of excavators, loaders, dozers, and directional drilling and tunneling equipment is preferred. Familiarity with we-known brands such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, John Deere, and American Augers is also a significant plus!
