Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator with Demolition Experience
Job Description:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator with Demolition Experience, you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy machinery to perform demolition tasks on construction sites.
You will work closely with the demolition team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate Heavy Machinery:
- Safely operate various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
- Use specialized attachments for demolition tasks, including hydraulic hammers, shears, and grapples.

Demolition Activities:
- Perform controlled demolition of structures, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
- Execute tasks such as breaking down walls, removing debris, and dismantling structural components.

Site Preparation:
- Prepare and level construction and demolition sites.
- Clear debris and obstacles to ensure a safe working environment.

Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure safe operation.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other team members to coordinate demolition activities.
- Communicate effectively to ensure project goals are met within specified timelines.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and safety inspections.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, with a focus on demolition projects.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of demolition techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging environments.
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in demolition or construction is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed outdoors on construction and demolition sites.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and noise levels.
- May involve working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Requires the use of safety equipment and adherence to strict safety protocols.
