Heavy Equipment Operator - National Salvage & Service Corporation

National Salvage and Service is seeking to hire an Equipment Operator for the Civil Division.

Job Classification:

• Non-Exempt
• Daytime Hours
• Monday - Saturday

Essential Job Functions:

• Installation of underground utility pipes
• Covering pipes with earth or other materials
• Ensure pipes are properly aligned, leveled, and plumbed during installation
• Dig trenches to correct specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine pipe layout and installation requirements
• Ability to set up and inspect equipment daily
• Capability to complete online daily equipment inspections
• Ability to make adjustments and perform minor repairs to equipment if needed

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience with excavation and underground utilities
• 3+ years heavy power equipment experience (Track Hoe, Dozer, Skid Steer, and/or Loader)
• Comfortable getting in/out of equipment throughout the day
• Comfortable being part of a team and a team player
• Demonstrating personal integrity, resilience, and respect for others
• Ability to communicate well under pressure
• Follow OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures
• Physical Requirements: Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walk on uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, Exposed to Loud Noises, and all-weather elements. Ability to work long shifts over 8 hours.
