Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager - PEG Staffing & Recruiting

Our client has a direct hire need for an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead a maintenance team, ensure operational efficiency of all machinery, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of heavy equipment (cranes, shears, balers, forklifts, etc.).
• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment safety and efficiency.
• Manage contractors for specialized repairs as needed.
• Optimize operations to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance (cylinders, hoses, couplers).
• Experience with heavy and small equipment maintenance (cranes, forklifts, skid steers, balers).
• Inventory management of parts, tools, and products.
• Strong computer skills with adaptability to new systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance management.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
