Tom Krutis Excavating Inc., a family-owned and operated business, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment and trucks, ensuring reliable operations on-site and in our shop. This is a full-time, year-round position offering competitive pay and opportunities for overtime.

- Equipment & Truck Repairs: Conduct repairs on heavy equipment and trucks, both in the shop and on-site using a service truck.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and servicing on all equipment, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, GMC, and Ram vehicles.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Inspect and diagnose breakdowns, with a focus on hydraulic systems, undercarriage, and track maintenance.
- Service Records: Enter detailed service records and updates into Vision Link and other software systems.
- Small Equipment Repairs: Manage repairs on smaller support equipment as needed.
- Utilize Diagnostic Tools: Operate software and diagnostic tools such as Vision Link, Cat IT, Cat Sis Web, and Snap-On Diagnostic tools to perform accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Experience: Proven experience in diesel mechanics and heavy equipment repair, with a focus on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, GMC, and Ram.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, undercarriage maintenance, and diesel engine diagnostics.
- Mechanical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software, including Vision Link, Cat IT, Cat Sis Web, and Snap-On Diagnostic.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to accurately document and input service records.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for on-site service work.
