Heavy Automotive Mechanic - Nesco Resource

We're seeking an Experienced Automotive Mechanic to join an innovative Automotive Retrofitting client in Detroit, MI. If you have a knack for diagnosing mechanical issues and love solving complex problems, this Contract-to-Hire role is for you.

• Flexible Shifts: 1st shift (7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday) with opportunities for overtime. Enjoy 5 to 12-hour shifts based on workload.
• Pay: Competitive and negotiable based on your experience ($22 to $25/hr).
• Benefits: Once hired, enjoy paid holidays, vacation time, company-paid medical and dental plans, a 401K with company match, and a guaranteed 40-hour workweek.

• Diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical issues using both visual inspection and diagnostic tools.
• Perform retrofitting and repairs on new vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts to guarantee correct functionality.
• Tackle tasks like AC repair, brakes, rotors, suspensions, transmissions, electrical work, and more.

• Extensive Automotive Repair Experience: Whether you're a Certified Mechanic, Master Mechanic, or have equivalent professional experience.
• Full set of tools with a locking toolbox.
• Advanced knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, steering, electrical components, and more.
• ASE Certification and vocational/technical training are a plus!
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
