We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Healthcare Superintendent for our respected Construction firm. This role is designed for a professional with a strong background in the construction industry, specifically in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ground-up hospital construction, with a particular emphasis on cancer center projects. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and the opportunity to be a part of a team that is shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Superintendent, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all phases of hospital construction from ground up to ensure that specifications, safety guidelines and deadlines are met.
2. Coordinating and supervising the work of all construction activities and subcontractors on the project site.
3. Ensuring that all construction activities align with the design, budget, and schedule of the project.
4. Managing and coordinating the construction of specialized healthcare facilities such as cancer centers.
5. Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
6. Liaising with project stakeholders including architects, engineers, hospital staff, and regulatory bodies.
7. Identifying potential construction problems and implementing solutions.
8. Conducting regular site inspections and progress meetings.
9. Preparing and submitting regular progress reports to management.
10. Training and mentoring junior construction staff.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Healthcare Superintendent, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare projects.
2. Proven experience in ground-up hospital construction, including the construction of specialized facilities such as cancer centers.
3. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety protocols.
5. Excellent leadership and project management skills.
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in construction software programs.
10. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
