About the Job
To oversee the day to day operations of the Hyperbaric Chambers under the supervision of the Wound Care Manager. The Certified Hyperbaric Tech/Safety Coordinator will administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the hyperbaric physician. Assume complete responsibility for all hyperbaric equipment and safety requirements for the program as well as safety and education for hyperbaric/wound care staff. Ensures compliance in the programs safety on behalf of patients, wound care/hyperbaric team, and hospital. Work closely with staff, management and physicians in coordination of patient care. Make recommendations in procedures, operations and maintenance of hyperbaric program as indicated by guidelines for treatment. Responsible for ensuring the successful completion and/or renew of accreditation for the hyperbaric department. Act as the department representative for chamber system maintenance and be the resource for resolving safety related issues for the department. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, 0-2 years of related experience and certification as a Hyperbaric Technician. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Completion of CNA, EMT, Medical Assistant or other healthcare provider course required.Required completion of accredited Hyperbaric Therapy Technician training course and active CHT certification.If interested, please send resume to Gabby at:Gabrielle_Keegan@chs.net
