Cogir Senior Living is hiring an experienced, diligent, and compassionate Health Services Director in our beautiful retirement community Cogir of Glenwood Place.

The Health Services Director is the care coordinator for a 26-unit Enhanced Care Unit in Assisted Living. In this role, they also supervise all care staff for the community's assisted living and memory care neighborhoods, including but not limited to assisting in scheduling and effectively assuring that systems are in place to provide quality assisted living services in all areas of resident care. Duties also include problem-solving resident concerns and coordinating care with the caregiver team and external partners. The HSD reports to the community's Director of Nursing.

What will you do as Health Services Director (HSD)?

• Supervise, develop, coach, and train the care staff according to the company's policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist the resident Services Coordinator with staff scheduling.
• Coordinate admissions with Community Relations team including supervising move-ins within Enhanced Care Unit.
• Ensure resident records and charting are current and up to date for Enhanced Care residents.
• Coordinate care planning with home health agencies on-site for Enhanced Care residents, working within community policy.
• Function as a liaison with families ensuring special needs/requests/complaints are addressed.
• Assist in coordinating staff training and in-service schedules.
• Assist with the supervision of the medication room and orders, working with Medication Aides and Caregivers.
• Acts as the contact for all issues related to resident care.
• Understand the community's care regulations along with state-specific regulations.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

• A positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors!
• A valid LPN nursing license.
• Prefer 3-5 years of geriatric nursing experience, including in a supervisory role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A high degree of accuracy in all assignments, and ability to manage time effectively.
• Strength in showing initiative, good judgment, and integrity.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
