Health, Safety, Environmental Specialist - 2nd Shift - Johnson Service Group

Johnson Service Group (JSG) a nationally recognized professional staffing firm, is seeking a HSE Specialist for our global manufacturing client in Danville, VA area. This individual will be responsible for reducing health, safety and environmental risks for the company in compliance with national standards.
 
Duties:

• Partner with supervisor to execute HSE management
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Manage the inspection and audit process
• Create corrective actions based on inspections
• Investigate incident reporting
• Report on trends discovered during inspections and incidents to the HSE Manager
• Contribute to business programs and procedures as needed
• Creative company wide activities to promote safe behaviors
• Assist in HSE strategic planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• 2 years of experience in a related HSE position
• Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred 
• Experience and/or familiarity with ISO45001 & ISO 14001 a plus 
• Strong communication skills
• Must be comfortable with digitized management tools
• Experience with represented workforce
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work cross-functionally
