Responsibilities
- Prepare and enforce polices to establish a culture of health, safety, and compliance.
- Take responsibility for both strategic and Operational matters relating to Health, Safety Planning and Compliance within Company and Field Operations.
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
- Conduct periodical risk assessments and job hazard analysis to discover what is likely to harm employees. Establish preventative measures accordingly.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practice. Provide updates to Management.
- Lead in creating and maintaining a climate in which individuals feel safety has high value and they are clear about responsibilities, safety aims and objectives.
- Overseeing and review of risk assessments, monitoring records of actions taken.
- Develop a program and implement OHSAS Health and Safety Management system.
- Review and updates all safety program documentation.
- Review and consult on safety procedures of subcontractors.
- Establish procedures associated with health and safety training needs. Maintain records of such.
- Formulate and maintain health and safety policies, arrangements, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous safety improvement to Management
- Liaise with external bodies such as local authorities and groups on health and safety issues.
- Provide guidance, advice, and support to Team members
- Conduct comprehensive on-site hazard and risk assessments, safety audits, equipment inspections to mitigate risk on sites before and while on going for safety compliant. Provide technical guidance on project safety requirements.
- Investigate accidents, near miss or incidents to discover causes. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new preventive measures. What preventive action if any action that could avoid injuries or illness related to workplace conditions.
- Ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported and investigated.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
- Establish and maintain safety training and records of personal.
- Safety log to track issues till there resolved.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience
- Construction industry experience
- Ability to travel to sites
- Safety Trainings/certificates
- Strong communication skills
Salary
100,000 - 145,000 /year
plus bonus and car allowance
