Searching for a unique position to support our Health education needs. The title of the position is “Health Coach.”The Health Coach will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with injury prevention program participants and assisting them through the process of actively working toward better health by supplying support, encouragement and education.
This is a full time 40+ hour a week position, onsite, in-person. Days and hours vary based on business necessity so the ideal candidate would have 7 day of week availability.
The responsibilities of the role are:
•Partner with vendors and company resources to develop and execute workplace well-being strategies that will improve employees’health.
•Coordinate health and well-being communications while utilizing public speaking skills to educate large groups of participants on topics including nutrition, sleep hygiene, mental wellbeing and physical activity in order to promote healthy behavior and health care engagement.
•Establish an on-going, in-person relationship with program participants and offer support and guidance in establishing behavioral goals.
•Meet with team members in person on a consistent follow-up basis to review progress, refine goals, explore challenges and provide guidance and motivation to overcome challenges.
•Create program plans for new and sustaining health promotion processes.
•Assist in the operationalization of technical components.
•Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all program participant progress.
•Provide detailed reports on program participant outcomes.
The Qualifications for the role are:
•Three or more years of experience in health promotion, health management, human resources and organizational behavior or a related field
•Understanding and proven experience in health management: prevention, screening, behavior modification, and disease management
•Strong written, verbal, digital communication skills in English
•Ability to be flexible with scheduling to meet patient demand needs
•Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•Coaching certification from Wellcoaches or another nationally recognized coaching organization preferred
•Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole preferred
