ASCS is looking for qualified health care aides for direct 1:1 student care in a school setting.
Responsibilities:
The Health Aide will assist with meeting the physical, emotional, health and safety needs of the patients as medically indicated and ordered by the MD. As well as:
· Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Agency policies, Health Aide scopes of practice.
· Demonstrates knowledge of proper equipment use and ensures all necessary equipment and supplies are present.
· Demonstrates ability to properly provide for the nutritional needs of the patient.
· Recognizes and honors Patient Rights.
· Maintains a non-judgmental attitude towards patients and their families, and coworkers regarding lifestyle, race, religion, personal beliefs and ethnicity.
· Consistently practice Universal Precautions and other infection control measures as appropriate.
· Practices safe work habits to protect the patient and the health aid; reports unsafe working conditions. conditions.
· Attends appropriate in-services; meets mandated reporting requirements and self-directed learning for professional growth.
· Complete all assigned shifts as scheduled. Communicate effectively with Agency staffing regarding schedule.
· Appearance is professional, following Agency guidelines.
· Performs health aide duties as assigned by a supervisor; demonstrates willingness to accept other assignments due to changing school care needs.
Required Skills and Responsibilities:A
· Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills.
· Must be able to communicate with clients, families, school staff, and other health care workers. Speech clarity, speech recognition and written expression are vital abilities for performing this health aide job.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. with or without assistance and must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stretch as required for client care.
· Behavioral aide experience a plus.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
*Currently looking to fill Monday through Friday, 8:15am-3:45pm 1:1 seizure management care position with bus transportation support.
