About the Job
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Tennessee licensure in Early Childhood with 5 years of experience working in early childhood and experience with family engagement.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The 12 month (240 day) position will involve administrative duties at the Central Office including but not limited to:
- Oversee Head Start and PreK program
- Oversee CACFP grant
- Write and oversee Head Start and PreK grants
- Work with Head Start grantee agency (Upper East TN Human Development Agency)
- Oversee before and after school care programs in the district
- Oversee and comply with childcare licensing
- Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and implements program evaluations for all Head Start PreK programs.
- Assists teachers and administrators in interpreting assessment and evaluation information in making programmatic and instructional decisions.
- Collaborates with other District personnel in developing and implementing quality educational programs and evaluations.
- Provides technical assistance in research, analysis, and assessment design to teachers and district data team.
- Manages and supports technology-based assessment systems.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inform supervisor or director of schools of problems, progress, and plans concerning Head Start/PreK as they occur and are identified.
- Support and participates in parent/community activities.
- Provide an orientation program for new staff members.
- Participate in developing goals aligning to the educational goals of the district.
- Other duties as assigned by the director of schools or supervisor.
