About the Job
Position Scope: The Head PT is responsible for driving personal training sales within a specific gym location. This includes setting up and personally selling personal training programs, ensuring free personal training sessions convert to committed clients, and supporting the personal training team in achieving sales goals. The Head PT works closely with new and current Personal Trainers, providing guidance and support to ensure client renewals and delivering excellent customer service to our members while upholding the organization's values and culture. Additionally, the Head PT is responsible for hiring, training, and supporting new Personal Trainers to ensure they are equipped to succeed and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Club Personal Training Sales and Personally Selling Training:
- Consistently deliver an exceptional member experience by actively engaging with all members and clients.
- Set up free personal training sessions, ensuring high attendance and converting them into committed personal training programs.
- Lead by example in setting, showing, and selling personal training sessions.
- Work closely with current Personal Trainers and clients to ensure program renewals.
- Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service through personal actions and team development.
Personal Training Programs and Support:
- Prospect, hire, and onboard new Personal Trainers.
- Ensure all Personal Trainer schedules are current and completed
- Lead the team to achieve a total fitness experience for all members by being present on the gym floor and assisting members as needed.
- Audit Personal Training Certificates to ensure all are valid.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certified Personal Trainer or Degree in Exercise related field
- Strong customer service skills with proven results.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prior experience in Personal Training or Managing Personal Training preferred.
- Ability to work occasional late shifts and weekends to meet business needs.
