Summary
The GBS team is responsible for developing, managing and governing MassMutual’s 3rd party labor strategy and any transformation efforts related to 3rd party labor. It is an exciting time to join the team as we are in the building phase of developing a set of capabilities, processes and tools to ensure 3rd party labor supports our GBS and MassMutual strategies. Additionally, this role is responsible for Supply/Demand planning for our GBS entity including capacity and resource management. This role will be responsible for implementing the demand, capacity and resource management processes across the GBS while partnering with key stakeholders in HR, Finance, and the business. This role will drive an integrated variable labor strategy for MassMutual that will support leaders in making long-term decisions which will result in a cost effective, high quality and integrated workforce that enables our business.
Responsibilities
- Develops, aligns and implements our Variable Labor Strategy and governance to support
- Support creating the governance mechanism for variable labor planning.
- Conduct research and analyze workforce trends and projections to inform strategic decision-making.
- Conduct workforce assessments, develop and deliver comprehensive variable labor plans that support business goals, and address talent shortages.
- Provide recommendations on current and future variable labor needs and related mitigation strategies.
- Assists with data views by developing models and scenarios to project requirements based on business goals and objectives.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret variable labor data to inform staffing decisions to improve operational efficiency.
- Create and deliver standard and ad hoc reports on key labor metrics.
- Monitor and report on workforce-related metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of variable labor initiatives, adjusting as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in variable labor planning
- Lead the design and implementation of the Demand, Capacity and Resources planning for the GBS to inform our variable labor strategy.
- Lead the refreshing of standards and procedures.
- Establish and communicate standards and partner with and influence business/function stakeholders to drive alignment on the forecasting and headcount planning process.
- Facilitate the transition labor strategies in line with business needs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in variable labor management, procurement, finance, or strategy.
- Bachelor's Degree with Master Degree preferred.
- Proven experience in variable labor & GBS Supply / Demand management.
- Understanding of financial planning, analytics, and business operations.
- Exceptional leader with the ability to interact with senior leadership and motivate global teams and peers.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare executive level reports and insights.
- Experience in driving end to end design and change management in a regulated large organization.
- Hands on experience in writing and managing procedures and standards.
- Ability to deliver results and on-time delivery of work.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to adapt to shifting goals and priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrating cross-cultural understanding and knowledge across multiple geographic locations.
- Effective leader with demonstrated ability to coach and influence peer group in decision making and strategic processes.
- Global travel less than 20%.
