As part of the Health & Wellbeing Collective, we are building an operational platform to support companies in the Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) space called the VMS Co-Op. In 2022 we formed one customer facing account team across OLLY, SmartyPants, Welly and Onnit. THE ROLE: HEAD OF SALES - VMS CO-OP + WELLY
Reporting to the CEO of the VMS Co-Op, the Head of Sales - VMS Co-Op + Welly will lead all retail Sales efforts across OLLY, SmartyPants, Onnit and Welly and be the “face” of these Health & Wellbeing Collective brands to customers. Strategy, leadership, collaboration, and coaching will be key skills for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all field Sales efforts including Sales Strategy (Sales Planning + Category Management). Lead the “execution arm” of the VMS Co-Op, bringing our plans to life.
- Build strong relationships rooted in open communication and respect with our customers and partners at all levels of management.
- Ensure annual planning and execution across each Operating Company is profitable and on-strategy.
- Ensure that pricing / financial guidelines for our channels are adhered to.
- Partner with CEOs and senior leadership across each of our Operating Companies and the H&W Collective to deliver on bringing our plans to life.
- Preserve and protect our Operating Companies' unique positioning to deliver overall growth for their respective brands and category.
- Drive strategic planning and execution of annual joint business plans at all accounts.
- Lead Sales Leadership Team in collaboration with our Operating Companies and customers to ensure true partnership.
- Direct Sales Team in development and tracking of Sales Objectives and Key Results.
- Ensure annual operating plans and OKR deliverables are met.
- Recruit, develop and inspire Sales Team members and reward cultural contributions to make life for the Sales Collective better for all of us!
CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
- 20-25 years of experience in CPG Sales with a proven track record of success working with top tier retailers, especially Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Sam’s Club and Dollar Channel, preferably with experience selling within the Vitamin and Supplement space.
- Proven track record of success working in sales planning, customer development, category management and trade planning.
- Inclusive leader with proven ability to build, lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.
- Proven expert at “relationship retail”; consultative approach and sought-after partner to retailers.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, dependability, integrity, and innovative sensibility.
- Ability to influence cross-functionally and build capabilities for the entire company.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

LOCATION: Remote, USA
HOURS: Full time, exempt (salaried)
TRAVEL: 50%

The pay range for this position is $250,000-300,000 dependent on experience.
