About the Job
Sensor manufacturer is seeking an experienced leader to head our Sales and Marketing Team. Experience selling sensor technologies to OEMs and sub-system manufacturers is preferred, ideally across multiple sales channels, including distribution, direct B2B sales, and coordinated sales with representatives.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Bridge between customer expectations and operations
- Understand customer needs and requirements, and help identify the proper solution
- Work with Design Engineers to determine the best fit for the customer
- When applicable route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
- Close sales and help achieve quarterly quotas
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects
- Partner with the rest of the sales team to build pipeline and help close deals
- Perform effective online tutorials to prospects
Requirements and skills
- Proven inside sales experience
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Experience with designing projects using sensors
- Strong phone presence
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Experience working with a CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- BS degree in Engineering
Employment Type
We would prefer that the candidate is located near our headquarters in Connecticut. There is some flexibility for remote work.
