About the Job
Tatum is engaged with a Dallas based client who is in need of a seasoned Payroll Manager (top PR person) that has a track record of managing more than 7 plus direct reports and has handled Multi-State payrolls of over 3500 employees. Experienced player / coach with strong delegation habits, as well as the ability to interpret accounting concepts & / or new standards in payroll and also support companies as they go into new markets.

responsibilities:
- Knowledge and implementation of Wage and Tax laws
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the daily payroll operation, supervision of the payroll staff, payroll records and payroll reports of the organization
- The primary responsibility is to perform the day-to-day payroll functions of the company
- Process accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll
- Provides overall leadership
- Implement strategic vision for the payroll department
- Acts as a point person regarding issues between the Payroll and Operations departments
qualifications:
- Payroll experience preferably in companies with large field employee teams
- Advanced knowledge of systems security, multi-site, multi-state payroll, shift differentials and miscellaneous pay rules
- Complete and submit Reconciliation to bank
- Handle wires, check requests and ACH's
- Knowledge and implementation of Wage and Tax laws
- Understand labor costs
- CPP preferred but not required
