ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired Online Schools, part of the Inspired Education group, is a transformative group of online schools, including King’s InterHigh, the leading British Curriculum Online School with over 6,000 students globally. King's InterHigh has been at the forefront of online education, providing a complete online via our state-of-the-art learning portal and offering an excellent education without borders.
As a part of our mission to bring excellence in education to more students in the United States, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Community Life to develop and lead comprehensive support and engagement programs that foster a cohesive school community and enhance the overall student and family experience. Reporting to the Head of School, this senior leadership role will drive initiatives designed to support student well-being, ensure effective communication and engagement with King’s InterHigh families, and build a strong, vibrant community.
This hybrid position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, and in addition to the flexibility of remote work, the Head of Community Life will be expected to come to our office several days a week as needed to engage directly with colleagues and foster strong professional relationships. This position will work closely with our global education team and will involve travel across the US and potentially abroad.

Benefits of the role
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$110,000 USD per annum. We offer a comprehensive package that includes a variety of medical and dental plans, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and a robust suite of personal well-being benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Support
- Develop and oversee an inclusive multi-tiered system that supports the emotional, social, and academic well-being of all students.
- Implement strategies and programs to ensure students have access to appropriate support resources.
- Design and implement an advisory program that promotes student mentorship, fosters a sense of belonging, and supports academic and personal development.
- Develop, communicate and support the school’s code of conduct and disciplinary policies.
Co-Curricular Program
- Develop a dynamic range of virtual and in-person co-curricular programs and experiences that reflect our students’ and families’ interests, foster engagement and belonging, and promote retention.
- Collaborate with education team to integrate co-curricular activities with our academic offering.
Parent and Family Engagement:
- Create and maintain strong lines of communication between the school and families to ensure they are informed and involved in their child's education.
- Develop engagement programs and events that build community and increase retention.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Serve as a member of the founding leadership team and contribute to strategic planning and the overall direction of the school.
- Collaborate with other school leaders to design and deliver a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for all students.
- Proactively and responsively communicate with prospective and current families.
- Represent Inspired Online Schools at in-person and virtual events, and other outreach activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field. Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- Passion for student well-being and family engagement, with a demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with experience in hiring, training, and supervising staff.
- Experience in online or hybrid educational environments is a plus.
- An entrepreneurial, start-up mindset, solutions focus, and exceptional teamwork.
- Proven ability to design and deliver highly-engaging and fun engagement opportunities for students and families.
- Ability to build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Eagerness to help the school grow and retain its enrollment.

- Ability to travel within the US and abroad.
