3DE by Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming high school education. 3DE is the newest innovation from JA that has been created to transform high school education. 3DE was designed and implemented in partnership with school districts to make high school more relevant, experiential, and connected to the real world through project-based learning, case methodology, and competency development. Role Overview: Head of 3DE
The Head of 3DE is a member of the Junior Achievement Leadership team and is responsible for helping to shape the overall strategy for 3DE within the local market. This role acts as a liaison between the 3DE National team and schools, districts, and community partners and is responsible for ensuring the broad vision of 3DE within the local schools and districts is implemented successfully. Within this role, you will be responsible for tracking operational expectations, reviewing quality assurance metrics, and ensuring that 3DE team members and adjacent leaders (development, finance, programs, etc.) are informed and capable of meeting objectives as needed. The Head of 3DE provides support and direction to the local product team and is responsible for hiring, monitoring, and developing high-performing talent through effective communication, acknowledgment of achievements, and coaching to improve performance. In addition, you will maintain relationships with district advocates through consistent follow-through of activities, amplification of successes, and working in partnership to develop solutions to deepen and sustain integration. You will be required to be deeply knowledgeable of the 3DE instructional model and its complexities/differentiators by attending trainings and meetings and working collaboratively with 3DE national team members. The ideal candidate is an effective leader capable of building a high-functioning team that plans collaboratively and works autonomously to achieve shared goals, while managing ongoing connectivity with key stakeholders, including the local community.
Core Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management:
- Overall supervision and leadership of the 3DE product team, providing regular coaching and guidance.
- In alignment with overall vision for 3DE within the JA portfolio, determine how to best allocate resources (funding, personnel) for successful implementation.
- Support the development of a culture focused on collaboration, problem-solving, and celebrating success.
- Work closely with 3DE National team members to ensure the local team is fully engaged with functional meetings and training and accessing all necessary resources to effectively implement the model.
- Work closely with school districts to ensure critical systems and structures are in place to support model fidelity.
- Strategic Planning & Improvement:
- Monitor quality assurance data to inform planning and continuous improvement, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with other JA team members to create an effective industry integration strategy, ensuring valuable learning opportunities for all students in grades 9-12.
- Collaborate with other JA areas when appropriate, to move regional or statewide initiatives forward.
- Responsible for staying continuously informed and aware of emerging educational and workforce trends and priorities
Desired Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Leadership Experience:
- Prior experience in educational leadership or a related field. (e.g., administration, department chair).
- Experience supervising and evaluating staff and effectively leading high-performing teams.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Experience using data to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Relationship Building:
- Proven track record of successful relationship building and management with a variety of stakeholders.
- Time Management:
- Experience organizing multiple projects and competing priorities while effectively managing time
Job Details
- Location: Junior Achievement of Central Florida
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000; commensurate with experience
- Reports To: President & CEO of Junior Achievement of Central Florida
