Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Head Golf Professional for the beautiful Barton Creek Country Club!

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire golf day to day operations including, but not limited to: The Golf Shop, Golf Course, Tournaments, Golf Car Fleet Operations, and Practice Facilities
• Hire, train, and supervise competent personnel
• Enforce all the facility’s rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cars, and other golf facilities.
• Be fiscally responsible for the entire golf operation
• Maintain a close relationship with the golf course superintendent
• Supervise the use of the reservation system and the POS
• Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly play with the hotel
• Review monthly financials with the Director of Golf and make adjustments as needed
• Train, motivate, and supervise all golf department staff and maintain accurate payroll records
• Assist in physical retail inventory
• Attend regular staff meetings

Qualifications

• Must posses excellent interpersonal skills
• 5 years experience as a golf professional preferred
• College Degree a plus, but not required
• Must posses strong computer skills
• Experienced in tournament operations
• Experienced in golf shop merchandising
• Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification
• Actively pursue PGA membership (if a PGA Apprentice) in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations
• Fundamental supervisory practices and principles
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
• Service and customer focused attitude
• Experienced in written and oral business communications
