Summary:

The Global Infra ODM Operations team within the Global Supply Chain Operations (GSCO) group is responsible for teaming with our supply chain partners to build, deliver, and enable Meta’s AI, Compute and Storage infrastructure. Meta’s computing foundation is its Data Centers, and key strategic partnerships with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) across the Compute and Storage industry are a crucial piece in building and operationalizing this infrastructure. The Global ODM Operations team is responsible for managing the operational performance of these ODM partners by setting key metrics, ensuring operational success and driving performance improvement programs across Meta’s supply chain, and is ultimately responsible for manufacturing operations and on-time-delivery of the hardware. This requires a dynamic approach to work to unlock challenges on the tactical (ex. supply), strategic (ex. Supply chain strategy), and foundational (ex. process overhaul) levels for Inventory Partners, ODMs, and Meta. The team is inherently dynamic, requiring coordination across engineering, NPI, mass production, and sustaining teams all within a given cycle. Put simply: this team is composed of problem solvers who build relationships both within- and beyond- Meta to achieve industry-leading performance and pave the way for Meta’s AI-enabled infrastructure. This role presents an opportunity to lead and manage the Global Infra ODM Operations team, responsible for end-to-end global manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Required Skills:

Head, Global Infrastructure ODM Operations Responsibilities:

1. Manage a supply chain team to support end-to-end global fulfillment operations of outsourced manufacturing of compute & storage hardware - material management, inventory operations, delivery operations, reverse logistics operations and business enablement.

2. Manage a team of operations engineers to develop and implement data-driven solutions - stochastic models, optimization algorithms - to improve supply chain visibility, agility, and responsiveness. Continuously monitor and refine optimization solutions to ensure they remain effective and aligned with changing business needs.

3. Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve decision-making, reduce uncertainty, and increase confidence in capacity delivery business outcomes across bring-up, validation, launch and deployment of hardware systems.

4. Collaborate with product quality engineering teams to design and implement automation solutions that improve manufacturing process reliability and reduce variability.

5. Develop supplier process improvement plans to improve manufacturing scale and time to deployment in partnership with quality engineering, hardware engineering and commercial sourcing.

6. Champion operations point of view, and influence decisions on business awards, build priorities, capacity allocation, new technology adoption and pricing variance.

7. Develop and maintain manufacturing, operations and supply chain relationships with executive management at outsourced manufacturing suppliers and system integrators.

8. Maintain current knowledge of the technology and industry trends for hardware, especially in AI. Work cross functionally to define operations directions with outsourced manufacturing suppliers and system integrators.

9. Rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to executive teams and proactively identify and resolve potential supply and operations issues that can affect product strategy.

10. Handle global supply chain or live data center disruptions in real time with the support of international teams on site if needed and on short notice.

11. Partner with other Meta orgs to represent Meta at industry events and forums.

Minimum Qualifications:

12. BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education.

13. 10+ years of supply chain centric experience in hyperscale data centers, semiconductor industry, server rack system integration and/or associated industries.

14. Blend of technical and operational experience to understand the relationship between technical roadmap, demand/supply, manufacturing and negotiations.

15. Outsourcing and manufacturing operations experience for hardware products with demonstrated fulfillment operations knowledge in multiple manufacturing models.

16. Experience in product ramps, sustaining support, and end-of-life cycle for compute, storage and AI hardware products in a large-scale environment.

17. Proven experience moving from strategy to execution and delivering results.

18. Interpersonal and communication skills with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making strategic decisions.

19. Proven experience interfacing with and establishing relationships with management at suppliers or customers.

20. Demonstrated experience in hiring, training, and developing supply chain teams.

21. Experience transforming business systems, models, and achieving results relative to goals. Demonstrated skills questioning the norm, thinking out-of-bounds, and delivering.

22. Masters or Ph.D. degree in Operations Research and/or Industrial Engineering.

23. 15+ years of technical and manufacturing operations experience in the hardware systems industry.

24. Experience interfacing with internal & external partners in an entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and resources.

25. Experience in cross-functional and industry influence.

Public Compensation:

$171,000/year to $239,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
