Harness Assembly Prototyping Specialist - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Harness Assembly Prototyping Specialist for a 24-month contract job with a client in Louisville, KY. You will perform all the operations required to produce wire harness prototype samples, and participate in all phases of the process from receiving parts to packaging the parts for the requesting engineer to pick up when completed.

 

Rate Range: $18.00/hour to $22.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Harness Assembly Prototyping Specialist  job responsibilities include:

• Assemble the harnesses off drawing which involves multiple steps.

• Cut and strip wire of different gauges to length

• Prep and pull the parts from the lab stock and document missing parts to place order

• Assemble the harnesses off drawing which involves multiple steps.

• Apply terminals on machine crimp applicators or using hand crimp tools in some cases.

• Read Engineering drawings

Desired Qualifications:

• Completed High School (Diploma or GED) with 4 years of wire harness assembly experience, or a college degree with lesser experience.

• Ability to follow assembly instructions and safely use hand tools with other lab equipment to perform the below tasks. Ability to read and understand the engineering harness drawing

• Ability to effectively communicate technical issues to engineers.

• Ability to use high precision equipment and determine quality of results.

• Able to utilize a multi-meter, power supply, and other lab equipment to troubleshoot or verify completed assemblies is some cases.

• Good attention to detail.

• Must be able to complete tasks as quickly and correctly as possible.

• Good organizational and documentation skills.

• Good communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English well.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
