Nesco Resource is seeking an L1 IT Hardware Technician in the greater Plano/Dallas/DWI Area.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Level 1 Dell Laptop Technician to provide first-line technical support for Dell laptops. The ideal candidate will perform troubleshooting, diagnostic assessments, and basic break/fix repairs, ensuring efficient and effective resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Level 1 troubleshooting for Dell laptops, including hardware diagnostics and basic software support.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware issues such as faulty components, connectivity issues, or system malfunctions.
Execute basic repair tasks, including replacing laptop components like RAM, hard drives, and keyboards.
Escalate complex issues to higher support tiers when necessary, ensuring detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps.
Follow standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with warranty and repair policies.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with end users about repair timelines and issue resolutions.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service tickets in the designated tracking system.
Stay updated with Dell support guidelines and training materials to ensure consistent service delivery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Dell certifications) are a plus.
Basic understanding of laptop hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for working with both technical teams and non-technical users.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience working with Dell laptops or similar hardware.
Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems and asset tracking tools.
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Dell diagnostic tools.
