Job Description:
- Building up and maintaining servers and/or client systems ( Windows / Linux familiarity with server platforms)
- Build out new deployment areas such as benches and racks, installing BIOS, firmware, drivers, and perform system debugging.
- Perform system integration of all platform components, QC of the assembled system, and deployment.
- Functionally test components for quality before they are used for deployment
- Assembling platforms and systems, including racks, main units, cabling, boards, CPUs, cards, chassis, instrumentation, and handling materials, kitting, installing peripherals, flushing thermal heads, and movement to the deployment Lab.
- Install, configure, and maintain development tools, design software, and simulation environments used by HW engineers and SW developers.
- Conducting Independently debug on cards, boards, and systems
- Solid knowledge on Windows, Linux Operating Systems, Network management, Application software.
- Good understanding on CPU/x86 Architecture (preferred) or other modern CPUs System on Chips (SOCs)
- Excellent knowledge on tests, triages, and root cause issues which have setup issues, removal or redeployment of tests needing software and/or hardware upgrades, and/or performing electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to establish problems in non-functioning lab equipment
- Applying Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) on platforms to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest pedigree.
- Experience in Power & Performance with DAQ instruments configuration and testing
- Monitors tests and quality assurance of equipment and performs equipment modifications as directed.
- Ensures test results are recorded accurately and in adherence to established quality practices.
- Performs preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping, establishes, maintains, and conducts routine testing of benches, testers, and other equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to successfully lead a complex, cross-organization program.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
