Summary:
CNC Machine Operator III
Description
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Setup and run 3-Axis milling machines.
- Setup and run 5-Axis milling machines.
- Have confidence handling multiple setups on pallet changers that will include multiple vises, multiple secondary fixturing, multiple secondary workholding, different materials, different pallet sizes and different nc programs all in one machine.
- Knowledge of cnc machine operation.
- Preparing stock for machining (select material, measure, and cut to dimensions provided by job instructions. Load into the machining center for operation.)
- Ability to schedule work and keep track of schedules.
- Handle shipping of finished goods to customers, including sending notifications via our shop management software for package tracking.
- When needed, perform inspection and/or assembly of finished jobs prior to shipment.
- Keep the shop tidy by picking up messes when they happen and by encouraging all others within the shop to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Deburr, deglue, defixture, bead blast and etc. parts .
Minimum qualifications for the role (non-negotiable):
- Be self-motivated, meticulous, and committed to continuous improvement.
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Be comfortable with a computer; we re an all-digital shop
- Must be authorized to work in the US and must pass a background check
- Experience with metalworking, woodworking, etc... by profession, education, or even a hobby. This is a great job for someone who enjoys making things and being around others who do too.
- Be comfortable lifting boxes, material, and tooling up to ~50lbs
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
This role is located in Seattle, WA. The initial duration will be one year, but could be extended up to two years depending on your fit for the position.
