About the Job
Description
- Hybrid, contract position for a Hardware Engineer to manage projects creating and laying schematic designs.
- Design from sketch to fabrication to support satellite payload design project.
- Create schematic symbols and footprints for new parts.
- Create board level Power Supply Architecture.
- Responsible for FPGA development with Quartus or Vivado, Core Fmax > 250 MHz.
- Experience with DRAM and FPGAs and large pin count BGAs.
- Generate 3D models from the tools for mechanical placement verification.
- Responsible for firmware development.
Requirements
- Hybrid, but must be able to drive to company site for meetings, etc.
- BS Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience with hardware design and firmware development.
- Experience with FPGA development using Quartus or Vivado.
- Knowledge of RF trace routing and data buses, like Gigabit Ethernet.
- Experience with documenting key areas for customer design reviews.
- Knowledge of Verilog or VHDL (Preferred).
- Experience with Platform Designer and embedded Hard Processor System a plus.
- Knowledge of basic data protocols, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet.
- Knowledge of ADCs/ DACs, DSP design a plus.
- Experience with Cadence Orcad Capture and PCB Designer / Allegro.
- Position is with a defense contractor so US citizenship is required.
