KNOWLEDGE:

Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing as required.

Knowledge of routine power tools and cleaning equipment.

Working knowledge of NYC Building Codes and City Regulations.

Basic computer skills; Internet Search, Microsoft Office.

CPR/First Aid (must obtain Certification within 6 month of employment and maintain throughout duration of employment.)

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective customer services skills

Ability to interact with staff and residents.

Good communication skills   

Well organized

Ability to effectively manage time.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred OR Minimum three (3) years’ experience in building maintenance and cleaning.

Trade school training in electrical, plumbing or carpentry desirable.
